Wedding dresses – various styles..
A bridal dress is a woman’s sole prerogative and once in a life time pleasure. She can fashion that exclusive dress in any one of the five source patterns of bridal dresses. Of these, while Mermaid and Column are more suitable for those with chiseled figures, the patterns Empire, Princess, and Ball Gown will suit the susceptibilities of most.
In the pattern named Empire, there is a tight top portion supported with prominent necklines and sleeves. The bust portion can be kept highlighted or not, to suit the flow of the remainder of the dress. The flowing bottom portion starts just after the bust line, covering the body in waves of fabric. Not a single negativity of the figure is likely to get revealed if one goes in for this style.
The A-liner style, known as Princess, is more or less similar, with a flowing bottom and tighter top. It is a seamless style that gives the dress an elongated look, and gives the wearer a taller look. Underneath the flares of it, it does not matter much whether you have an hour glass figure or barrel figure. On a thinner frame, this pattern can be used to give the effect of all the necessary curves.
The Ball Gown pattern has the classic look of Cinderellas Ball Gown that her fairy godmother wove. Plenty of modifications can be made on this basic pattern to get a fuller and more feminine effect. The conical effect that the gown gives suits most, except short brides.
In the Mermaid style, the flare starts only from knee downwards. Above the knee it is all tight fitting with plenty of options in neck, sleeves, and the flare. You need a body with perfect curves, to be able to take the best advantage from a Mermaid style bridal gown.
For those who have the best figure, the Column style is the best bet. It is a single column from top to bottom, with the fabric clinging to the body all around. With the right fabric, this style will give the wearer a chiseled perfection that other styles cant give.
Try to balance your body’s equation with either of these basic patterns. Once the basic pattern is selected, other choices will easily fit into place.
