Wouldn’t it be great to meet the perfect guy, get swept head over heels, go through a romantic fairytale, marry and bring up adorable children? Unfortunately, this can turn out just to be a pipe dream on many occasions. If you are “on the market” you are obviously looking for the best, have great standards and have a picture in your mind of the ideal guy.
As you date different guys, you will likely come across someone who you are particularly interested in. You take a little bit of time to get to know him, go out on a date or two and then become confused about where to go. What if this guy is not interested in you? It is difficult to tell, isn’t it.
As girls, we all know that guys are very difficult to read. We think that they almost never show their true feelings and are often slow to verbally express their emotions. However, we are looking for potential long-term relationships here and we need to know what’s going on. If this guy is not interested in you, you want to move on.
If you really want to know whether that hunky guy is not interested in you, be bold and take the initiative. After a day or so without a call, pick up the phone and call him. Leave a nice message if you get through to the voicemail. Now, if you do not hear within a reasonable period of time, you have your answer.
A lot of guys hate confrontation and will often shy away from calling you to tell you in person that you are not a good fit. So, if days have gone by without you hearing from your dream guy, guess what — this guy is not interested. There are plenty more fish in the sea, as the saying goes, so don’t dwell on it.
You will be able to clearly tell if your dream guy is not interested if he seems to hang around a lot with other women. Sure, they could be just friends, but you should be able to get that subtle message and read between any lines to get your answer.
If you only hear from your love interest very late at night, around the time that the bars close, or when he’s looking for action, you should quickly conclude that this guy is not interested in anything other than sex. Don’t degrade yourself, and look for somebody who has a more mature approach to relationships.
In the world of dating and relationships, make sure that you set rules and stick to them. Don’t be afraid to take the initiative if you’re not sure about a potential suitor. If you think that the guy is not interested, then you’re probably right and you should move on to pastures new.
