How to Survive if Your Boyfriend Dumped You
Most of us have been there before ” you’re asking yourself “what should I do; he dumped me!”. Well, I have some advice for you, but I have to warn you right now that this article isn’t necessarily going to make the pain go away. However, remember that you will be fine.
A lot of people thinking “he dumped me!” worry about two things. They are concerned that the pain they’re feeling will never end and that there is something wrong with them that caused the breakup; some even fear that no one will ever love them again!
Take heart, dear. The fear is real. The pain is real. But, the situation exists in your head, not in the real world. While one part of your life may be over, your life is not over.
You still have friends and family who care about you. In fact, you now have more time to spend with them. Many times, when you get into an involved romantic relationship, we lose touch with the other people who bring meaning to your life. You now have a chance to reconnect with them.
You may end up swapping break up stories with them. When you disclose “he dumped me”, they might open up to you and tell you about how they’ve been in the same boat before. Other people have been through tough breakups and lived to tell the tale ” family members and your friends among them.
In addition to having more time for others who you care about, you will have more time to work on the issues in your life. Many times, when you are in a relationship, the activities you care about get pushed aside if your boyfriend isn’t interested in them. This is a good time to get re-involved in the things that matter to you.
If there’s nothing you’ve been neglecting, then this might be a great time for a new hobby. When you’re thinking “he dumped me”, you may well be suffering from low self esteem. Get out there, keep busy and make some new friends ” this will make you feel better about yourself.
The best activities to get involved in are group ones like a club or a class where you can take part in some sort of activity and socialize with other people.
Once you begin to rejoin the world, you’ll feel better about life and about having been dumped. You can make new friends, start enjoying new activities or rediscovering old hobbies and maybe you’ll even meet your next special someone while you’re out there living your life!
The truth is that you will find someone to date again. Your soul mate is out there.
In retrospect, you may look at the breakup as a positive event which allowed you to move on and meet that perfect guy; after all, the best revenge is living well!
