It’s a tough decision… should you get back together with your ex, this person that you have history with, or should you drop it all and move on with your life? Alot of that depends on how strongly you feel about the person that you want to reconcile with.

#1. You can see your future with your ex.
To successfully build a long term relationship you need to have common goals and hopes and dreams. If you want to be a rock star and your significant other wants to be a farmer, then you could have some potential issues that you need to work out before you get back together.
#2. You can forgive the hurts of the past.
This is especially important if you and your ex broke up because of an affair. Break ups reall, really hurt, and sometimes it is impossible to move past that hurt. But, if you can put the hurt behind you and your ex has truly apologized and changed his/her ways, then you have a very good chance of having a great relationship in the future.
#3 You are willing to learn new skills to make your relationship work this time.
Most people fail at relationships because they don’t know what to do to make their relationships really work. We are after all not taught relationships 101 in school. But having good relationships is an important skill set that is really pretty easy to learn if you have the right resource.
